The final Transnational Meeting of E.A.SY. Project will be held on 29th October at University of Rome La Sapienza, Faculty of Sociology.
The conference will be introduced by Renato Guarini, Rector of La Sapienza University, by Andrea Lenzi, President of Italian CUN (National University Council) and by Luciano Benadusi, Dean of Faculty of Sociology, University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
Then Derrick De Kerckhove, Director of the McLuhan Program in Culture & Technology, University of Toronto, will talk about “E-learning and the New Infrastructures of Information”.

Mario Morcellini, Coordinator of Italian Social Sciences University Deans, Antonio Ariño Villarroya, Vice-Rector of University of Valencia and Alberto Colorni , Politecnico di Milano and President of Siel (Italian Society of E-Learning) will intervene in the discussion about e-learning in Europe.

In the afternoon, the realization and achievements of the E.A.SY. Project will be presented by the partners involved in the research: University La Sapienza of Rome, University of Basque Country, University of Louvain, Central European University, University of Milan Bicocca, Tischner European University, University of Warwick. Csia and Deltadator will explain the technical development of web tools.

The E.A.SY. Project, supported by eight european universities, aims to support the e-learning development of european higher education in order to favour the exchange and the collaboration and to enhance the students’ virtual mobility. The project, as part of the wider framework of EU’s E-learning programme, intends both to improve the on line learning quality and to ease the european students’ access to the ICTs.
The EASY specific objectives are six:
  1. analyse the development and the diffusion of e-learning in the european universities, in order to investigate how the virtual campuses adopt and promote e-learning policies (interview EASY virtual campuses databank)
  2. check out the e-learning use of university students (Initial, Advanced, Ph.D)
  3. develop distance training paths on globalization for students
  4. disseminate information on mobility opportunity in Europe (visit our students’ mobility section)
  5. provide information and ideas exchange between students and EASY experts (participate to the EASY Forum)
The E.A.SY. Project is co-financed by European Commission in the framework of E-learning Program by   Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) operating under the supervision of the Directorate General Education and Culture (EAC).
